NOAH FINANCIAL STAFF MEMBERS RETIRE
NOAH's financial office took a hit this year when Fiscal Director William Fuller and Fiscal Assistant Elizabeth Kelly decided to retire. Though sad to see them go, NOAH administrators bid them a fond farewell at the retreat.
"We are so happy to recognize two people who have done an excellent job for us at NOAH," said Edna McClendon, who chairs NOAH's Board of Directors.

"Bill, you've done a wonderful job for us," McClendon told Fuller, who was presented a plaque which was read by Executive Director Thomas Roberts: "Presented this 27th day of June 2008 to William T. Fuller, Jr. in recognition and appreciation of your nine years of untiring service rendered to NOAH."
In accepting, Fuller recalled his thoughts when he joined NOAH. "When I first came to NOAH, I wasn't sure what I was getting into, but the fact that I had property management background and we owned child care centers, I thought, 'there's got to be a fit there somewhere.' And the longer I was there, the more I felt like it was really home, and I don't think it would have been that way without the support and help right in my department between Patricia and Beth. They made me feel at home every morning when I came in ..."
McClendon called Kelly a quiet worker. "You don't hear her, but you see her work. You feel the impact of her expertise," McClendon said. "We are so thankful that you are going to ride out and do the things that you want to do, to enjoy your grandchildren and enjoy your family and just take life a little bit easier," McClendon told her. "You've done an excellent job for us. We are very, very appreciative of your spirit, appreciative of your excellence and we are appreciative of your commitment to the families in the Glades area. Because if it had not been for people like you and Mr. Fuller, certainly there would be a void in our organization. So we say thank you so very much and we thank the families for allowing these people to come so far everyday to do the jobs they have done."
Roberts read the place presented to Kelly: "Presented this 27th day of June 2008, to Elizabeth A. Kelly in recognition and appreciation of your 13 years of dedicated service rendered to NOAH."
Kelly accepted with a correction: "It's been a pleasure working for NOAH, and it's been 14 years. I promised the person that hired me I would work 10 years and I completed my promise with four more years" she said. "The people that I've worked with have been wonderful. I admire the company, the mission is wonderful, and the work that's being done is very good."
