Mission Statement
To improve birth outcomes for children born to program participants; to help reduce subsequent
pregnancies among program participants; increase the number of children who are prepared to enter school at their
maximum developmental potential; and build the capacity of parents and other family members to be effective
care givers.
Early Childhood: Provides a continuum of care for children one (1) month to five (5) years of age
in an active learning environment using an approved research based curriculum. The program is designed to meet the children's physical
and developmental needs.
Prenatal/Parenting: Provides education and support services to improve birth outcomes for children
born to high risk parents, address infant mortality and developmental delays caused by low-birth weight. Provides education
and support services to facilitate and improve parent/child interaction and bonding.
- Classes are held on Mon-Fri beginning @ 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
- Transportation provided to and from sessions
- Group and one-on-one counseling
- Three evening parenting sessions held per month
- Home visits for home-bound and post-partum clients
- Tutorial and homework assistance
- Life Skills
- Job Readiness
- Mentoring
Case Management: Provides support via an agreed upon family support plan to encourage and help move
families to self-sufficiency.

Healthy Start: provides case management andsupport services for families to cope with daily problems
and directives to paths that will break cycles of poverty and despair.
Healthy Families: provides case management to families, prenatal and postnatal who are assessed via an
approved tool to determine their need for support and service. Monitors babies immunizations records, as well as baby
check-ups, unplanned pregnancies, promotes parent/child interaction and home visits on a weekly basis.

I Have A Dream Scholarship: provides scholarship to program participants who finish high school
and want to go to college, training or technical school without the wherewithal to do so.
Youth Mentoring: The Covenant Villas Youth Enrichment Program is an after school, group
mentoring program designed to serve youth between the ages 8-18 yrs. old from the Belle Glade Community who are
experiencing challenges in school, hom and/or in the community and need someone to talk with and just have fun!
